As the Air Mercy Service marks 60 years of life-saving medical outreach and emergency rescue across South Africa, we know our operational strength lies entirely in our people.
Our impact goes far beyond the communities we serve; it lives in how we develop, mentor, and empower the next generation of professionals within aviation and finance. Today, we are proud to highlight the journey of Lilitha Noquqa, a Finance Intern who joined the AMS team after completing her N6 qualification at False Bay College.
For Lilitha, whose name beautifully translates to “the light of the family”, the opportunity to step into our finance department is about bridging the gap between theoretical finance and real-world humanitarian work.
“Realising that the accuracy of my financial data entry directly supports aeromedical operations reaching remote communities gave me a profound sense of purpose. It showed me how attention to detail in finance directly enables our humanitarian mission to succeed.” – Lilitha Noquqa
