Yesterday, the Western Cape Department of Health & Wellness EMS/AMS rescue helicopter was dispatched to Queens Beach, Bantry. One patient was extracted from the water and handed over to paramedics at the scene to commence CPR. This operation was part of a multi-disciplinary rescue effort involving the NSRI, Metro Emergency Medical Services, and other key players. Full details on the rescue are below.
