“My name is Nic, and I’m a helicopter pilot at the AMS Mthatha base. Originally from Johannesburg, I spent my school years in the picturesque KwaZulu-Natal midlands. From a young age, I was captivated by the idea of flying helicopters, and I am grateful that I’ve been able to turn that childhood dream into a reality.
After I completed school, I dove headfirst into my helicopter training in Johannesburg. Eager to broaden my horizons, I also trained in Durban, using every opportunity to explore our beautiful country, while honing my skills.
Once qualified, I worked in the security industry before joining the tourism sector in Madagascar. Now at AMS, I am combining my passion for flying with the opportunity to make a real difference You’ll likely find me outdoors, either hiking or planning my next adventure. I’m always eager to learn and grow, both as a pilot and person.”
