19 November 2024 – We are beyond grateful to Toyota Material Handling, a division of CFAO Equipment, for the generous donation of a R600,000 tow tractor to our operation in the Gqeberha region of the Eastern Cape. This vital piece of equipment will help us move our helicopters in and out of the hangar quickly, ensuring that we can respond to life-threatening emergencies without delay. This donation marks another important step in our mission to save lives, and we couldn’t do it without the amazing support from partners like CFAO Equipment SA.
“The tow tractor will help facilitate AMS’s operations, make medical transportation more efficient, and ultimately, save more lives. As we celebrate Toyota Material Handling’s 40-year anniversary, this donation is a fitting testimony to our commitment to give back to the communities we operate in. Accessible health services mean that every individual, receives the necessary care when needed it most,” said Arveen Ramdhani, CFAO Equipment’s Head of Human Capital.
We rely on specialised equipment that ensures the smooth operation of our air ambulance network. It is because of our partnership with CFAO Equipment SA and the Eastern Cape Department of Health that we can continue to provide this vital service.
AMS CEO, Farhaad Haffejee says “The new tow tractor represents a transformative asset for our organisation. We are incredibly grateful to CFAO Equipment SA for the generous donation, which is a pivotal enhancement for our AMS Gqeberha operations.”
This donation reflects more than just the replacement of equipment; it is a statement of commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and making a real impact in the communities where we operate. It represents a partnership that will continue to strengthen our ability to serve our communities and respond to emergencies without delay.
