The Western Cape Department of Health EMS/AMS rescue helicopter was dispatched on 21/12/2021 just after 9am to Lions Head on Table Mountain. It was reported that a male hiker injured himself while hiking, close to the second ladder on Lions Head. Rescuers were inserted to the location of the patient. The patient was airlifted off the mountain and handed over to the ground ambulance crew for further treatment.
