28 October 2024 – Last week we welcomed healthcare professionals at our Cape Town base for The Aviation for Healthcare Providers Course (AHCP). The course equips the qualified healthcare provider with the knowledge and skills which aims to treat patients within the aero-medical environment. The focus is on the safe treatment of patients in the pre-hospital and inter-hospital phase of aero-medical transportation. Aero-medical transportation has led to significantly improved outcomes for a number of patients where time-critical interventions are required.
The course content is covered through a combination of theory lectures conducted by experts in the field, practical skill refreshers, case-based learning and simulation.
