30 December 2022: Injured hiker airlifted by the Oudtshoorn Western Cape Department of Health EMS/AMS rescue helicopter from Towerkop, one of the highest peaks & most unique landscape features near Ladismith. The patient was extracted from the mountain & airlifted to Alan Blyth Hospital in Ladismith in a stable condition.
